Proper fish and chip shop, fish fried freshly to order. Not the cheapest and definitely not the quickest (due to aforementioned frying to order) but among the best. There are two small plastic tables at the front but it is basically a take-away. A very good one!

Would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. Lovely fish and chips from this family run take-away. Great portions and freshly fried. Sometimes you have to a wait a few minutes but I guarantee it is worth it because a) you get such fresh fried fish and b) the jolly (Italian?) lady gives you a "chip lollly" - a couple of chips on a fork while you are waiting. Even better, they are very happy to take an order by phone "Plaice your order" and then it's ready to pick up at the time arranged - normally 10 or 15 mins for us.
The half a star off is because a couple of times the order hasn't been 100% correct. Maybe a missing small chips or something. They are always happy to take it off the next order but it knocked them off the full 5 stars.
Having said that I wouldn't go anywhere else around here for my fish'n'chips!
